Booking & Payment
1. Q: How do I secure my booking?
A: A $100 deposit is required to confirm your session. Your booking is only secured once the deposit is received.
2. Q: Is the deposit refundable?
A: The deposit is non-refundable. However, it will be applied toward your final payment.
3. Q: Can I cancel my session entirely?
A: Yes, you may cancel your session. However, please note that the deposit is non-refundable and will not be returned upon cancellation.
4. Q: When is the remaining balance due?
A: The remaining balance must be paid after the session is completed, no later than the following day.
5. Q: Are tips expected?
A: Tips are entirely voluntary and always appreciated, but never required.
Scheduling
6. Q: Can I reschedule my session?
A: Yes, rescheduling is possible. Please notify me at least 2 days in advance. While I cannot guarantee availability for a nearby date, we can always postpone to a later time that works for both of us.
7. Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my session?
A: If weather conditions make it impossible to shoot (e.g., heavy rain, storms), we will reschedule your session to another date at no extra cost.
8. Q: What happens if the session runs overtime?
A: If the session runs up to 10 minutes over, there is no extra charge. For 11–30 minutes of overtime, a flat fee of $50 applies. If overtime exceeds 30 minutes, you will be charged at half of your session rate for the additional time.
Location
9. Q: Where can the session take place?
A: Sessions can be held either in-home or at an outdoor location. I respect and accommodate your preference.
10. Q: Is there a travel fee?
A: Travel within 15 miles is free. Beyond that, the travel fee is $3 per mile for the distance exceeding 15 miles. For example, if the session location is 20 miles away, the travel fee is (20 - 15) × $3 = $15.
About Pets
11. Q: Can I bring my dog to the session?
A: Yes, dogs are welcome to join your photo session!
Wardrobe & Styling
12. Q: Do you provide wardrobe or outfits?
A: No, wardrobes is not provided at this time. Clients are responsible for their own clothing.
13. Q: Should I wear makeup for my session?
A: Makeup is highly recommended for photo sessions, as it enhances your features on camera. If you're skilled at doing your own makeup, that's perfectly fine. If you'd like professional assistance, I'd be happy to recommend a makeup artist.
14. Q: Do you have any outfit recommendations?
A: Absolutely! Here are some tips for a great photo session:
• Choose clothing that reflects your personality and style.
• For women, dresses often photograph better than pants.
• For family sessions, limit your color palette to no more than 3 colors total.
• Contrasting colors can sometimes create a more striking look than similar tones.
• Consider adding accessories like shawls, scarves, or hats for visual interest.
15. Q: How many outfit changes are allowed?
A: I recommend sticking to one outfit for the best use of your session time. However, this is negotiable. Please note that outfit changes will use time from your scheduled session.
Delivery & Editing
16. Q: How long until I receive my photos?
A: Delivery typically takes 10–25 days. If you have an urgent deadline, please discuss it with me, and I will do my best to accommodate.
17. Q: How will I receive my photos?
A: Your photos will be delivered via an online gallery. Google Drive is also available upon request.
18. Q: How long will my photos be available for download?
A: Photos will remain available for download for 30 days after editing is complete. Please make sure to save them before this period ends.
19. Q: What if I'm not satisfied with the editing?
A: If you're not happy with the initial editing, you may request revisions. Each retouched photo included in your package can be adjusted up to 2 times.
20. Q: Can I get additional photos retouched beyond my package?
A: Yes, additional retouching is available at $20 per photo.
Photo Release Form
21. Q: Am I required to sign a Photo Release Form?
A: No, signing the Photo Release Form is completely voluntary. However, if you choose to sign, you will receive a 5% off on your session price.
